August & September News

We’ve been making the most out of the last few summer months of the year and slowly starting to prepare for the Autumnal months ahead! But first, outdoor play, water and bubbles is a must and we sure made the most of every minute. Look at how talented our children and staff are! (Pictures below). Over the past few weeks the staff in each room were given an inter-room challenge to design a small world, interactive play resource. Our first entry was that of the 2-3’s with the Gruffalo, Our 2nd entry was from the under 2’s with their fairy house and the amazing penguin paradise was from the Pre-School staff team. The children all absolutely loved playing and interacting with their creations, and all at Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough were extremely proud.

Our under 2’s have been exploring different textures and the bright colour red, they loved bathing in the duplo bricks, playing in the bubbles and sinking into the sand. SPLISH, SPLASH, SPLOSH, water play is one of our babies’ favourite things to do, after all, getting wet and messy is so much fun! Finger painting was also on the agenda this month, we were left with some very pretty paintings, and some very colourful hands. Our sensory room was a HUGE hit with our little ones, the bright light and unusual textures and shapes resulted in a fascinating exploring environment, an experience to remember!

We most definitely have a few little kickers in our 2-3’s! They have loved ball skills and being outside in the fresh air, making the most of the last summer month. Some fabulous GIGANTIC chalk pictures were created this month, all of our tots teamed together to investigate some chalky, pastel colours and the outcome was beautifully colourful. And lastly, our little chefs LOVED owning their own cake shop for the day becoming bakers! Not only did they get to sell some yummy cakes, but they got to eat them as well, delicious food and fund raising, what more could we ask for. We raised £76.37, WOW!!

Our Pre-schoolers have had a creepy crawly experience this month, getting ready for next month’s Halloween antics! The slithering, slimy snakes and lizards joined us in the nursery for the day, and our kiddies made some new friends, they were very brave! They also made some very ‘nutty’ creations with some coconuts, experimenting with different textures and creating faces with googley eyes and pompoms.
