June & July News

Our sunflowers are finally growing and soon our babies will be able to gaze at the beautiful petals and colours in of the sunflowers that they planted themselves! They have also been investigating scrumptious STICKY marshmallow dough and SHINY fabric, working on their senses is always exciting. What baby doesn’t love squeezing, smelling and squashing ? Later on in the month when the sun began to appear our little ones went on an adventure to explore and find sticks, leaves, bugs and flowers all ready for their investigation tray. They had so much fun out on the fields and then continued the excitement in the nursery discovering their treasures they had found all by themselves.

Our lovely 2-3s enjoyed a yummy afternoon tea to celebrate her Majesties 90th Birthday this month. It was a big Royal rumble! Our day involved decorating blue, white and red table clothes, making flags and sung a BIG Happy Birthday to the Queen. Later on in the month we went on a BEAR HUNT..we’re going on a bear hunt..we’re going to find a little one..our toddlers loved their hunt in the woods! They managed to find a stranded baby bear stuck in a tree, rescued him and gave him a home in the nursery! And we finished off our summer outside by exploring our magnificent science lab, investigating water, sounds and lots of eye catching colours.

July was a VERY important month, our biggest tots had their graduation and were sadly leaving us to go to big school, a sad but very proud day! Our pre-schoolers even got their own graduation mortarboards, and beautifully coloured handmade tops which they designed themselves with their hand prints on. A lovely day for everyone and it was a bonus that the weather held out!
