Thank you all for the effort made on World Book Day. The children enjoyed themselves so much and looked absolutely fantastic!
Green room have been focusing a lot on animals recently. We have been practicing our animal noises whilst playing with a range of messy play activities. We have even had a visit from Teddy the hamster and our stick insects!
We’ve been busy creating some beautiful hand print flowers for Valentine’s day, decorated biscuits and investigated different flowers.
We are very much looking forward to all our planned spring activities!
We have been having lots of fun in Tweenies exploring all different types of messy activities, we even focused a whole week on it and the children loved it. We splattered paint filled cotton buds and popped balloons and watched the different marks they made.
We have also celebrated Chinese new year, the children loved exploring and learning all about this, we made dragons, lanterns and even had a taster session where we got to try some delicious Chinese food
We hope you all loved your Valentine’s day cards, we had so much fun making them.
In the toddlers room we have transformed an area in the room and created a curiosity area, we have filled this with loose parts jars for the children to explore.
We have been having lots of fun making valentines crafts for our loved ones. One of the children’s favorite activities was baking love heart shortbread biscuits and decorating them making their own pattern in the icing.
We have introduced Jolly Phonics in the Pink room and learning new letters sounds. Our recent letter is ‘A’.
We are collecting cushions and rugs to create a more ‘cozy’ book corner. If you have any unused cushions any donations would be most welcome.
This term in preschool we’ve enjoyed lots of messy play and exploring textures. One of our favorite craft actives was making a pirate ship out of old boxes.
We’ve celebrated valentine’s day with lots of red playdough, our love heart ‘sink or float’ experiment and of course creating some lovely hand and footprint cards for our loved ones.
At the moment we are transforming the little room at the end of preschool into our very own music room! We’re very excited about the giant drums that are on their way!
